Description
Georgian Bristol blue decanter (sadly without stopper), with painted gilt HOLLANDS and mock chain. The term hollands was used at the time, for gin that was imported from Holland, & was very expensive! Also described as mother’s ruin, at least by Hogarth, in his famous engraving.
