(1847 – 1932) 

Born in London To The Royal Academy artist Edward Duncan RWS & wife Bertha (daughter of British marine painter William John Huggins); his oldest brother artist Allan Duncan. Walter studied at The Heatherley School of Fine Art & The Royal academy Schools. Associate of The Royal Watercolour Society 1874. Exhibited at The RWS, The Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists, The Grovesnor Gallery, The New Gallery & The Royal Watercolour Society. From 1870s, he was one of the Principle artists of The Illustrated London News. Many of his paintings reside in museums.
